Email support@uebtranslator.com

Write to us by email. UEB Translator is run by an independent developer in India. There is no contact form, because a form would send what you write through a server, and this site has none. Nothing you type into the tools reaches us unless you paste it into an email.

A translation that looks wrong

To check it against the rules and the engine, please send us:

  • the exact text you translated, copied rather than retyped, since curly and straight quotes can matter;
  • the grade (Grade 1 or Grade 2) and the direction (text to braille, or braille to text);
  • the braille you got, copied as Unicode braille or Braille ASCII;
  • what you expected instead;
  • the section of the ICEB Rules of Unified English Braille that applies, if you know it.

We look into every report and fix what we can. If the result comes from the liblouis tables themselves, the fix belongs to the liblouis project, and you can also report it on the liblouis issue tracker.

An accessibility barrier

If something on the site is hard or impossible to use, please tell us:

  • the page and what you were trying to do;
  • what happened, and what you expected to happen;
  • your screen reader, magnifier, braille display or other assistive technology, with its version if you know it;
  • your browser and device.

A mistake on a page

Send us the page address and the sentence that is wrong, with a source if you have one. Our sources page lists what each statement on the site rests on.

What we cannot help with

We do not transcribe documents, check braille for publication, signage, legal use or exams, or certify anything. For those, please ask a qualified transcriber.
